重厚な果実味を有し、凝縮した蜂蜜の香りとたっぷりの粘度を誇るという、力強さと豊満さがこれでもかと詰められた魅惑の一本。15年近くの長きに渡っての時を経て円熟を迎えている。
「モンラッシェのバタール（私生児）などと臆面もなく名乗るだけあって、バタールはこの仲間のうちで最も肉厚、肉感的なワインで、濃厚で丸みのある血筋の証、つまり品格をバタールが欠いているとはいえる。一方、バタールの美点も見過ごしがたい。白のブルゴーニュでこれほど凝縮したハチミツの匂いを持つものはほとんどなく、また、これほど粘度の強いワインもまれである。 」マット・クレイマー氏

Tasting note: This too is quite aromatically expressive and while this is no model of finesse either， both the aromatic and flavor profiles possess stunning complexity and in contrast to most big， sappy and muscular white， this manages to retain an unusually fine sense of balance and delivers a palate staining finish. Its dramatic but theres substance behind the size and weight.
